HISTORY

John Paul Memorial B.Ed. College is the result of the dream of a group of fathers of the St. Joseph's Province of CST Fathers Aluva, to provide education to the economically and educationally less advantaged people of the High ranges. In 2005 upon the request of neighbouring parents, priests in the Ashram arranged tuition programme in front of the Little Flower Ashram Chapel. In 2008 MG University granted provisional affiliation to John Paul Memorial B.Ed. College and was recognised by NCTE, New Delhi. JPM campus consists of JPM Arts and Science College and John Paul Memorial B.Ed College and overlooks to the busy Kattappana- Kuttikkanam stretch of the Kattappana Kottayam state highway. John Paul Memorial B.Ed. College has been maintaining excellent results in university examinations since its inception. In order to enhance the quality of teaching and learning process, the college regularly conducts national seminars, Webinars, training programmes and so on. The college is keen in maintaining high standards of discipline in the campus which goes a long way in fine tuning the potential of learners. The college also provides excellent lab and library facilities for its students and subscribes to various magazines, national and international journals, books and materials of competitive exams such as Civil Service, UPSC, SSC etc.

To be a locally relevant and globally acclaimed centre of holistic education; moulding the children of a largely marginalized region into self- reliant, responsible, morally upright, and socially committed citizens.

  • To provide comprehensive training, enabling students to live and flourish in the digital world.
  • To conduct programmmes promoting ethical values, self-esteem, responsibility, secularism, patriotism, and faith in God.
  • To accelerate inclusive education by providing higher education opportunities to the weaker sections and minority communities of the land-locked region.
  • To train and mentor students to realise and develop entrepreneurial skills, intellectual and physical capabilities with a view to promote innovation.
  • To organise outreach programmes promoting gender sensitisation, emotional maturity, and social commitment.
